More about Miss Melo

Music has always been a huge part of my life. As a child I loved performing in choirs, with orchestras, and in musical theater. As an adult, I continue to love performance, but songwriting allowed me to connect to and express my innermost thoughts and feelings, the joy and the pain.
One day, early in my career, I brought my guitar to preschool on a whim. The response was overwhelming. Immediately, I felt a powerful sense of engagement and connection with the children, deeper than I had experienced prior to this moment. That’s when I realized that music was not just my passion—it was my purpose.

Since then, I’ve found ways to use music to foster connections and create inclusive communities. My programs are interactive and all levels of participation are welcome. Whether in preschool classrooms, parent and me classes, or summer camps, I encourage everyone to engage fully at their own ability and comfort level. I want the adults in the room to have fun, too! Sing, play, talk, make friends!
Along with my training as a preschool teacher, I continue to enrich my work with several professional development programs specifically for musicians who work in Jewish spaces including Songleader Boot Camp, T’kiya Gedola, and Rhythm N Ruach.
I hope to sing with you soon!
